Donations from the United States

Gresham College is an approved institution recognised by the British Schools and Universities Foundation (BSUF), a US-based education foundation with 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. Donors can donate to Gresham College via BSUF. 

This means that those based in the United States are able to benefit from the same tax deductions on their charitable gifts as they would if they gave to a US-based charity. 

BSUF operates a reliable system under which monies are properly transferred to Gresham College for the benefit of the charity. Please visit www.bsuf.org. 

 Donations are recorded by Gresham College as ‘a grant from the British Schools and Universities Foundation, made possible by a generous donation from (donor’s name)’ unless anonymity is requested. 

Because the IRS does not permit BSUF to make grants to us for unrestricted purposes, the Foundation asks Gresham College annually to provide them with     more information about how their grants to us will be used. 

Every time you make a gift to BSUF and name Gresham College as the beneficiary they will immediately send us an email message notifying us of your gift, so that we can promptly thank you for your support. BSUF will disburse the full amount of grants quarterly. 

Please notify the Head of Fundraising and Development so you can be sent a receipt for your tax purposes once the donation is received.
