Arts & Social Changes

Throughout history, art has reflected, influenced and driven social change. Artists have used their work to comment on social issues, challenge norms and inspire movements.

This series focuses on three different movements that have impacted life as we know it: literary censorship, photography in Apartheid South Africa, and changes in British theatre after WW2. The series highlights freedom of expression, diversity and inclusion, and the ways the arts can be used to challenge the status quo.
