Julie-Marie Strange

Julie-Marie Strange first lectureship post in 2001 was at Birkbeck where she benefited enormously from Joanna's mentorship (despite Joanna being on leave - a sign of Joanna's generosity). From there, Julie-Marie moved onto a permanent post at the University of Manchester in 2003 before relocating to Durham University in 2019. Her research interests are broadly in everyday life, encompassing histories of class, gender, emotion, money, pedigree dogs and pets.
